Backcountry in North Lake Tahoe
Kat, Pat and I headed up to Mt. Rose on Saturday morning. We parked, suited up and skinned up the trail of Mt. Rose. After about 20 minutes however, we all turned to one another and had a good discussion about how there was absolutely no snow on the ground. We turned around, headed back down the trail and ended up at Incline Lake.
We took one trip up and dug our pit to check the snow before heading down.
We had so much fun we took another lap up and down.
But the fun didn't stop there. That night after dinner and probably too much to drink, we skinned up a local peak in Tahoe Donner with a larger crew and the remainder of a whisky bladder.
